We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Butler with strong cooking skills to join a relaxed household in Venray, Netherlands. You will predominantly be based at the main residence and will be required to travel ahead to their secondary residence to prepare the apartment before the family arrive. You must have 5* service experience, be hospitable to guests and be able to confidently prepare and service all meals whilst the family are in residence. Your role will also involve housekeeping and laundry duties. The family travel frequently so only upkeep and general care of the home is required in their absence. You must speak fluent English or Dutch (or willing to learn)

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the property
• Making beds and changing linen
• Dish Washing
• Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
• Ironing clothing items, bed linen and napkins
• Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
• Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
• Steaming and cleaning draperies & cleaning blinds
• Tidying up rooms and completing changeovers
• Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
• Running errands
• Ensuring fridge is stocked with daily essentials for guests
• Grocery shopping and or ordering and delivery
• Cooking international food for the family when in residence
• Liaising with family PA on a weekly basis
• Liaising with contractors and deliveries
• Front of House duties; meeting and greeting guests
• Day to day arrivals of deliveries and contractors
• Service of meals and beverages
• Following security protocol, monitoring fire alarms and regulations
• Exercising discretion and upholding confidentiality at all times
• Taking care of Koi carp
• Garden Maintenance

Package

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Accommodation: Provided – live in or in a nearby apartment if preferable

Hours: 40-50 hrs a week, flexible but will include weekends when the family are in residence. 2 days off per week.
