We are looking for an experienced couple to manage the day-to-day operations and good running of our VIP clients luxury private and rented Chalet in Europe. The role is directly client facing and includes ensuring that the comfort, safety, operations and overall experience of the Chalet is maintained at the highest levels for the owners and guests. This role will include meeting & greeting guests, working with suppliers, organising other staff. This is a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Chalet Chef and Management couple to work for a fantastic client in one of Europe's most prestigious ski resorts.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for Chalet guests to ensure that their requirements are understood and exceeded so they have an amazing holiday experience.
  • Go above and beyond to support guests as a concierge with the booking of restaurants, experiences, cars, skiing lessons or as required
  • Provide meals to a high standard that are exciting, flavoursome & memorable for breakfast, lunch (summer only), afternoon tea, dinner for our guests taking into consideration their dietary requirements.
  • Wait on the guests as necessary to ensure that they are well looked after, never wanting for food or drink etc. and to provide the total luxury / relaxing experience that is expected.
  • Ensure the correct level of staffing and consumables within the chalet to provide the ultimate level of guest experience including, being there for at least the days before and at the end of any bookings to ensure an appropriate handover.
  • Ensure that all areas of the Chalet are at all times inviting, available to use with well stocked amenities and deliver to a high standard for our guests.
  • Act as a driver or arrange transport for guests to restaurants, airports and ski areas as necessary.
  • At all times act professionally, polite, be discrete, personable and engaging with our guests. You are ultimately responsible for ensuring that their holiday experience at the Chalet is of the highest standard to remain memorable.
  • You will be responsible for the comfort & safety of all staff and guests using the chalet. Take steps to ensure that all consumables are kept available, deficient areas are brought up to speed and any maintenance work is highlighted to the Chalet Property Manager to remedy organised as quickly & efficiently as possible, minimising disruption to guests.
  • You are responsible for all shopping of food, drink or other consumables as required to ensure that guests are looked after appropriately.
  • Despite the above, the chalet will honour and support appropriate working boundaries and hours worked per day. The owners will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour from any guests or staff alike and are fully supportive of ensuring that the Chalet is a fun, inviting & respectful working environment.
  • Please note that you may be expected to work weekends or unsociable hours as required to support our clients guests.
  • Subject to negotiation and candidates willingness this role may offer the opportunity for winter work in the chalet and summer work in Quinta do Lago, Algarve, Portugal
Ideal Candidate
  • 5 years+ in looking after the guests or similar general operations of similar sized chalets or small hotels in Switzerland
  • Demonstrable experience in working to provide top quality chalet experiences for renting to guests or as part of a private household
  • For the Chef role you will be able to demonstrate experience working as a lead or sous chef in a Michelin starred restaurant or Luxury hotel. To describe how you develop your own seasonal / region specific menus, consideration of varying dietary requirements, children vs adult meals, and your overall ethos & expectations to food delivery
  • You both must possess an EU/Swiss passport or a valid work/residency permit for Switzerland (and potentially also Portugal)
  • Fluent in English & French, written & spoken, as a minimum
  • We are looking for a couple (2 individuals) who are calm under pressure, responsible, discrete, care about the service they provide, and who bring energy, enthusiasm and proactivity to their role with us.
