Chief of Staff / PA - Permanent - London & Europe

A lovely returning client of mine is looking for an excellent Chief of Staff / PA to join their London based team. As well as properties in London, my client has properties in France, Spain, and Belgium also, and you will be required to oversee the running of these properties. When current restrictions lift, there will be travel involved, and would usually be once a month. We are looking for someone committed to finding a long term role, and previous private household experience is essential. We are looking for someone to be based ideally in London until Autumn, and then relocate to Brussels to assist with the opening of a new family office - what an exciting opportunity to be involved in a project from the beginning! It is also essential that candidates are able to speak French and Spanish fluently.

Responsibilities
  • Liaising with all relevant parties to insure building sites advance according to schedule
  • Managing multilingual teams on and off site
  • Flexible on travel to visit the various properties across Europe
  • Household budgeting and accounting
  • Supplier research
  • Insurance policy tracking and updating (when necessary)
  • Art collection management
  • Wine cellar inventories
  • Project management duties
  • Willing to be the keyholder of the properties
  • Managing a large team in different languages
  • Acting as gatekeeper and adviser to the family (their “eyes and ears” in all situations)
  • Candidates selection, interviews, reviews, payroll, etc.
  • Writing or modifying job descriptions
  • Basic knowledge of employment law in Europe/UK
  • Key liaison with lawyers for a variety of matters
  • Ability to book private flights and manage complex itineraries for a family of 6
  • Agenda management
  • Keeping up with schools’ notification board, update kids’ calendars and their activities
  • Helping to coordinate holiday travel
Ideal Candidate
  • Essential - Fluency in English, French and Spanish for business related correspondence and communication with the household staff
  • Must be proficient in Excel
  • Previous experience in UHNW households
  • Property management skills
  • Recruitment / payroll / staff management
  • Energetic, can do attitude
  • Flexible, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask
  • Confident, calm, switched on
Package
£65,000+ Gross Per Annum

Working Week: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm - this will change when the principal is in the UK - it can get very busy
