Front of House Manager / Butler - Permanent - Croatia

We are looking for a Front of House Manager / Butler for an ultra-luxury micro-hotel in Croatia. The role is initally on a seasonal basis, but for the right candidate it has potential to become permanent, which would involve worldwide travel with the family, plus helping with any Sales and Marketing for the property in Croatia. We're looking for someone with excellent experience at 5* private hospitality, ideally managing chalets, villas and/or households. This is a great opportunity to grow within a role and secure a long-term, permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Dealing with enquiries for stays and events, preparing and proactively following up quotations
  • Liaising with guests and their PA’s to plan for their arrival
  • Ensuring that the property and team are ready and briefed for guest arrivals
  • Making arrangements with suppliers to deliver services as required
  • Welcoming guests and familiarising themselves with the property
  • Observing and ensuring that all aspects of the stay are delivered perfectly
  • Working with the Property Manager to ensure that all facilities are in perfect working order
  • Taking ownership of the guests stay and liaising with other parties such as yacht and private aviation brokers, executive assistants, travel agents and experience providers to ensure smooth transitions
  • Coordinating and ensuring good communication between different service areas to give guests a seamless experience
  • Intervening personally to fill any service gaps
  • Acting as concierge to fulfil any guest needs as they arise
Ideal Candidate
  • Eligibility to working within the EU (EU passport or Croatian residency)
  • Experience in various aspects of top-end, 5* hospitality/hotels
  • Discreet but also confident and comfortable dealing with demanding high net worth clients
  • Versatility and understanding of all aspects of the guest experience from F&B to housekeeping, security and concierge
  • Painstaking attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs intuitively and fast
  • Willingness to take responsibility, solve problems, work long hours and demonstrate a hands-on approach in order to deliver impeccable service
  • Fluent English essential; any other languages a distinct advantage
  • Appreciation for art and history essential; knowledge thereof an advantage
  • Consummately professional, but also warmly welcoming
  • Experience in Sales & Marketing desirable but not essential
