We are looking for a highly experienced, well trained Head Butler for a beautiful country estate in Northumberland. The family split their time between two properties, about 90 minutes apart, and you will also be splitting your time between both. We are looking for someone adaptable, flexible, and hands on. Both properties are quite different, so you must be happy to work in both formal and informal settings. The family are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of wine. We are looking for someone who enjoys and understands country sports, and a dog lover is a must! *Please note that previous experience in private households is essential and I'm afraid candidates will not be considered if they do not have this experience*

Responsibilities

• Front of House
• Table Service - both silver service and informal
• Managing household staff and rota
• Overseeing wine cellar
• Ensuring the houses are running smoothly on a day to day basis
• Ensuring inventories and stocks are kept up to date
• Greeting and looking after guests

Ideal Candidate

• Private Household experience is essential
• Previous Head Butler experience is a must
• Excellent knowledge of wines
• Adaptable, flexible
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to cater to both formal and informal service
• We are looking for candidates who can show longevity on their CV

Package

£40,000+ Gross Per Annum

Accommodation: Cottage provided, family and pets welcome

Working Week: 5 Days / Week - some flexibility with days off required
