We are currently recruiting for a privately owned chalet based in Meribel, France for this coming winter season. It is privately owned yet rented out, with a fully booked winter season already confirmed. It is a ski in/ski out chalet with accommodation provided. The owner is looking for a top level of service and an exceptional chef to produce fine-dining cuisine. The ideal couple will come from a background of working together in luxury chalets, villas or yachts and who ultimately provide a professional and discreet service.

Responsibilities

• Menu design and planning
• Preparation and service of breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés, and evening meal
• Catering for all guests special dietary requirements and requests for special occasions
• Managing food hygiene and general health and safety in the kitchen and dining areas
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and presentable at all times
• Operating within the food budgets
• Maintenance of all kitchen facilities and equipment
• Cleanliness and tidiness throughout the property with the main emphasis on Housekeeping and Laundry
• Assisting with service of drinks, cocktails and having an understanding of what is available
• Assisting with the chalet and client laundry service
• Assisting with general chores in the kitchen and recycling
• Assisting clients generally and answering any queries
• Supporting and assisting each member of the chalet team in their individual roles
• Polishing of glassware, crockery, and cutlery

• Recognised catering qualification or extensive experience
• Previous five-star experience
• Knowledge of nutrition, diets and allergies, food safety and storage
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Organised with good time management and adaptability

Salary: €4000 (combined)

Travel to and from resort

Full package will be confirmed, but will comply with French working regulations
