Private Chef - Permanent - North London - Zone 3

We have an excellent opportunity for a private Chef to work in one of London’s largest and most prestigious households. To be considered for this role you must have strong experience working for UHNWIs or in private households. The House Chef is expected to manage the running of their own kitchen, working both alone and within a team to provide meals for the Principals. Whilst working with the support of the private estate team they will be responsible for consistently delivering the highest level of service, cleanliness and performance. On this busy estate the ability to follow instructions and think on your feet is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for daily operations and running of the kitchen
  • Stock management, ordering and receiving goods delivery of stock
  • Source products from organic sources
  • Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family daily
  • Ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
  • Maintaining professional and hygiene standards within the kitchens
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is done so in a safe manner and in accordance with relevant health and safety protocol
  • Total discretion and the ability to provide exceptional service without being intrusive
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Facilitate the creation of new dishes as requested by the Principals
  • Maintain up to date recipes and standards of procedure manual
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, this includes attending meetings
  • Attend all training courses as and when required.
Ideal Candidate
  • Five years’ experience working at the highest level of service, either within the hotel industry or private house for UHNWI
  • Good spoken English skills
  • Health & Safety qualifications, NEBOSH, HACCP equivalent
  • IT literate to include Excel and Word
  • Strong kitchen skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible with working hours
Package
Salary: £40,000

Hours: 5 days a week
