Ski Resort General Manager - Permanent - Location: Head office in Chamberry, France

We are looking for an experienced Resort Manager at Director level for a luxury Ski company based in the French Alps. Our client operates both chalets and villas to an extremely high standard. Whilst this is an office based role in Chamberry, France, you will travel throughout the winter and summer season to their property locations in Ibiza, Mallorca, Meribel and Val d'Isere. This is a dynamic role overseeing the entire operation and working closely with both guest facing managers and the head office team. This role requires a high level of dedication, organisation and the ability to be flexible. This is a superb full time, long term position for the right person who speaks both French and English.

Responsibilities
  • To oversee the organisation of the luxury chalet company, to work alongside their head office and guest facing resort managers.
  • Manages claim procedure for accidents
  • Oversees the management of staff accommodation
  • Arranges lift passes, ski hire
  • Provide support for staff medical insurance during the season and pre arrival
  • Provides ongoing support to Resort Managers with team management during the season
  • Supports in dealing with significant performance related issues
  • Prepares formal end of season performance appraisals and determines bonus with Resort Managers
  • Conducts exit meetings with each departing staff member with Resort managers
  • Manages payroll and timesheets monthly
  • Manages the annual planning and review processes
  • Travels to all resorts to ensure company policies and branding is in place
Ideal Candidate
  • Background working in Ski resorts
  • Previous experience as a Resort Manager or General Manager of a 5* property
  • Must be highly organised, efficient, resourceful and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
  • Must be highly organised, efficient, resourceful and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
  • People management experience in a chalet/villa, hospitality or catering environment
  • Confident driver in winter conditions, and held a full and clean driving for a minimum of 5 years
  • Must be fluent in both French and English
  • Must hold an EU passport or CDS
Package
Salary: €40,000 per annum + Bonus
